Restaurants chain McDonald’s hired over 1,000 employees this year in Romania. Overall, 4,000 persons work in the 68 McDonald’s restaurants within the country.

Being in top 10 private employers, McDonald’s promoted over 500 employees on superior positions and the bonuses for performance grew by 15 percent. Also, 1,000 young people were trained in 2016. In over 20 years of activity, over 30,000 persons attended the McDonald’s school.

„One in five McDonald’s employees have over 10 years within the company. It means that 20 percent out of 4,000 employees worked with us for over a decade, a great honor and responsibility for us. Such a retention level is very difficult to obtain, especially in a sector pretty difficult from the workforce point of view, where jobs change often,” said Daniel Boaje, general director Premier Restaurants Romania.

McDonald’s has invested RON 800 million in Romania since it entered on the local market.
