Metallic tiles producer Bilka, owned by the Romanian entrepreneur Horatiu Tepes, increased its turnover by 54 percent to RON 147 million in the first semester, compared with the same period of 2016. The growth is due to the evolution of constructions market, but also to the investments made by the company for the production development.

„The growth was determined on one side, by the higher demand for roofs, which is normal, taking into account the studies on the evolution of constructions market, where the main engine of the market is represented by the houses’ constructions, followed by office buildings construction and commercial spaces. Moreover, the number of residential constructions authorizations is still growing and the modernization works are dropping. As a result of these authorizations, there are new constructions that we have to cover.

These figures reflect also the production lines which function since 2016, without which we couldn’t support the demand. We estimate that this growth will be maintained until the end of the year,” said Tepes.

In 2016, Bilka exported complete systems for roofs worth RON 27 million. In the first semester of 2017, the export sales increased by 33 percent compared with the same period of 2016.

„We identify a high potential on the external market and a high interest in our products. This is due to the fact that currently we own the biggest factory of roof systems from Eastern Europe,” said Tepes.
