Microsoft Summit 2017 kicks off tomorrow in Bucharest

The 2017 edition of the Microsoft Summit will start tomorrow, 7 November, and brings to Bucharest speakers such as former Estonian president Toomas Hendrik Ilves, April Rinne, Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum and more.

Speakers, participating in three tracks, namely ‘Innovate with new business models,’ ‘Improve business models,’ ‘Experience digital services,’ will explore the vision of development and the evolution of the business world viewed in he digital age.

Digital transformation has an impact on the organisations in most modern industries, from finance, retail, distribution, energy or pharma, to telecom, communication and FMCG. Microsoft Summit will explore the changes, opportunities and challenges that digitalisation brings inside organisations as well as their interaction with the market and their public.

The topics of this year’s event include e-government, with former Estonian president Toomas Hendrik Ilves, the man who led the country through a decade of digitalisation, sharing economy expert April Rinne, Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum, cyber security with Johnnie Konstantas, Senior Director for Cyber security at Microsoft, as well as local experts Vlad Sorici and Silviu Neghina, who will talk about emerging technologies in business and IoT.

The sessions, totalling 16 hours, will see 28 speakers take to the stage of the National Theatre in Bucharest. For the complete schedule check the website of the event here.
