Mihai Busuioc to head Romanian Court of Accounts

Mihai Busuioc was appointed president of the Court of Accounts of Romania after being voted by the joint committees of the budget-finance of the Romanian Parliament.

Busuioc received 18 votes in favour, 10 against and one abstention. Also, Dan Lucian Vladescu was appointed president of the Audit Authority, after receiving 19 votes in favour, 9 against and one abstention. Nicu Marcu was appointed vice-president of the Court of Accounts and Florin Tunaru was named vice-president of the Audit Authority. The joint committees also validated Aurel Dumitru for the position of accounts advisor.

According to Busuioc, within the Court of Accounts there should be a directorate with a mandate to advise public authorities.
