Companies from Romania choose more and more often occasions to motivate and reward the employees, among these being the gift tickets for special days. Besides the Easter and Christmas gift tickets, some companies motivate their employees on June 1- the International Children’s Day.

According to an analysis by Edenred Romania, the provider of gift tickets and cards for employees, several thousands companies will offer gift tickets to their employees on June 1, a growth by 10 percent compared with 2016.

“We estimate that the already increased trend of offering gift tickets and cards as bonus to employees on special occasion will continue during 2017,” says Dana Sintejudean, the vice-general director of Edenred Romania.

Several companies offer gift tickets for uncommon occasions, such as Banker’s Day (June 4), the Energy Worker’s Day (June 20), Oil Worker’s Day (September 8), the Romanian Engineer’s Day (September 14), Accountant’s National Day (September 21) or the Romanian National Day (December 1).

“We see a clear tendency from employers to celebrate the special occasions from the professional life, such as the companies’ anniversaries, and even the special moments from the personal life of employers, offering them gift tickets or gift cards. There are financial advantages, the social taxes cuts, as well as logistics advantages, as tickets and cards are easy to order,” adds Sintejudean.

The gift tickets for June 1 for employers’ and children’ benefits are taxes deductible, both for employers and employees, up to the limit of RON 150/beneficiary.

In Romania over 35,000 companies offer their employees different types of tickets and cards by Edenred.
