Neculai Banea, ex-state secretary with Economy Ministry, appointed IAR SA general director

Neculai Banea was appointed yesterday general director at IAR SA, the aeronautical enterprise of Romania, after he left his position in the Economy Ministry as state secretary, the institution subordinated to the company, according to a release of the company.

Banea was appointed state secretary within the Economy Ministry in January 2016, as a result of the decision of Dacian Ciolos, having in subordination the defence industry.

IAR SA Brasov is one of the aeronautical enterprises of Romania and is responsible for the maintenance, reconditioning and modernization of the helicopters.

The company had in the first nine months of 2016 a net profit of RON 21.5 million and a turnover of RON 79.3 million.

The company is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange with the symbol IARV.

IAR Brasov has a capitalization of almost RON 140.8 million.
