The growth of the average speeds of download of Romanian users is due to the improvements of the access network, both on fixed internet segment, where there’s a growth in the number of connections that allow higher speeds, and the mobile internet, where the number of 4G technology connections doubled in 2016 compared with 2015.

The statistics for fixed and mobile internet in 2016 were generated by Netograf.ro based on approximately 182,000 valid tests on internet users from Romania.
