New Dacia cars registrations in France up by 0.4 pct in July

New Dacia cars registrations in France went up by 0.4 percent in July, compared with the growth by 10.9 percent registered overall by the French auto market, according to the data from Tuesday of the French Constructions Committee of Cars (CCFA).

In July, 8,269 Dacia cars were registered in France, compared with 8,234 units in July 2016, while the Renault registrations had a percentage growth by over 13 percent annually, due to an increase by 18.2 percent up to 24,104 units of Renault cars registrations.

At general level, 147,523 new cars were registered in July in France, a growth by 10.9 percent annually.

Among the general producers, the French constructors gained from the market dynamics, the PSA registrations registered an increase by 12.71 percent and the ones from Renault group registered an increase of 13.08 percent. Toyota group registered the highest growth (22.57 percent), followed by General Motors (19.09 percent), Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (14.23 percent), Hyundai (13.13 percent) and Nissan (10.20 percent). The main sales decreases were at BMW group (-8.10 percent) and Ford group (-0.75 percent).

In the first seven months of this year, Dacia car registrations in France increased by 3.5 percent up to 72,596 units, while the French auto market registered a growth by 3.8 percent to 1.28 million units.

CCFA revised upwards the estimations on the evolution of French auto market and currently aims for an annual growth between 3 and 4 percent, compared with the increase of 2 percent as it initially estimated.
