Early this year, the employees of Autoliv Timisoara moved into the newest office building in the city and enjoy one of the most breathtaking views. Located on the three top floors of the United Business Center 2 office building in the Openville mixed use project developed in Timişoara by the IULIUS Company, the professionals working for Autoliv can look out over the city from up high and enjoy the most breathtaking sunsets. The employees said they “enjoy the view from every angle” and “love the natural lighting facilities and during the night the view is spectacular”.

The offices in UBC 2 accommodates approximately 350 engineers specialized in software development and testing for automotive safety systems such as Radar, Vision and Night Vision, airbags and seatbelts. The Romanian subsidiary of Autoliv, the Swedish manufacturer of automotive safety systems, leased approximately 5,100 sqm in the class A office building near Iulius Mall, where it occupies the 8th, 9th and 10th floors.

The development plans of the company and the benefits provided for its employees within Iulius Mall Timişoara were the main reasons for relocating into the 18,000 sqm UBC 2 office building. “The Autoliv Company follows the growing trend of consolidating engineering operations in Timișoara, and the new head office in the UBC 2 building supports our long term growth. In addition to conducting our activities in a very modern building, our focus is on the attractive bundle of benefits provided for our entire team, and our employees are delighted with the proximity to Iulius Mall, which enables them to access any services they might require both during and after work”, said Ionel Fierbințeanu, Country Manager of Autoliv Romania.

The natural lighting, vast office premises, IT equipment, furniture, 02(1)parking spaces, and proximity to the shopping mall are only a few of the advantages highlighted by the tenants of UBC 2. “The advantages of the new head office include: the new spaces with modern and much more comfortable furniture, the conference halls fitted with state of the art equipment, the proximity to the Regina Maria Polyclinic, the much larger kitchens, as well as the parking spaces, which are definitely forte”, said a member of the Autoliv team in Timişoara.

The three floors have different themes, which reflect the message of a global company. The offices include “open-space” areas designed to encourage collaboration between colleagues, multifunctional meeting rooms and “collaborative area” informal workspaces. The conference halls are fitted with state of the art technology which enables communication and speed in completing tasks.

For their lunch breaks, the employees are provided with fully equipped and carefully designed kitchens on each floor. The food court and restaurants in Iulius Mall are other alternatives where they benefit from special prices, based on a program that was specially created by Iulius for the employees of its tenants in the office buildings and in the mall. Using the Partner Card, the employees can benefit from discounts as high as 25% at approximately 100 operators, including restaurants, cafés, food court operators, stores, and service operators such as cleaners, carwash, hair salon and travel agencies.
