American International School of Bucharest enrols 800 pupils

Over 800 pupils enrolled at American International School of Bucharest in the 2016-2017 school year

Over 800 pupils from are enrolled at The American International School of Bucharest (AISB) in the 2016-2017 school year, set to kick off on August 22. According to a press release, the school invested over EUR 1 million in facilities over the summer period.

Among the 810 pupils enrolled, 242 are high school pupils. Most pupils come from Romania (32 percent), the US (13 percent), Israel (5 percent), Germany (4 percent) and Turkey (4 percent).

AISB estimates that revenues for the 2016-2017 school year will stand at EUR 16 million, and has invested over EUR 1 million in facilities, a press statement reads. The facilities offered to pupils by the AISB include a new library, science labs, modernized class-rooms.

”The 54^th year of existence of The American International School of Bucharest finds us ready to go to another level, one that has not been reached in Romania. The teachers, where 19 nationalities are represented, the pupils and the parents from 56 countries, as well as the internationally recognized curriculum represent strong arguments that we reinforce by modernizing the campus opened 15 years ago,” Robert Brindley, director of the American International School of Bucharest said.

According to AISB, the school’s mission is “to serve the international community in Bucharest with a study program that allows pupils to enroll in prestigious universities around the world, especially in those in Europe, North America and Australia.” The AISB provides study programs for pupils starting with age two and up to high-school level. Fees start from EUR 6,868 and can go up to EUR 20,080.
