PM Dancila rejects resignation rumors after less than 100 days in power

After 78 days in power, PM Viorica Dancila rejected rumors that emerged in the media about her potential resignation.

“That’s out of the question,” said Dancila before a meeting of the leadership of the ruling party PSD. She added that she was curious to know who started the rumors.

On Monday morning, Dancila had a meeting with Liviu Dragnea, the head of the PSD and president of the Chamber of Deputies.

Meanwhile, Dragnea was asked if Dancila would remain in power by 2020. He said “yes, at least (until then – e.n.).

Dancial was sworn in as PM on January 29.
