Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will meet with NATO General Petr Pavel, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee (CMC), during a visit to the ‘Mihail Kogalniceanu’ administrative center on Thursday.
NATO Military Committee Chairman General Petr Pavel, is paying an official visit to Romania, Thursday through Saturday, at the invitation of Chief of General Staff, General Nicolae Ciuca.
After a military ceremony and meeting with the NATO official, the Romanian head of state will also visit the centre and attend a flight exercise featuring MIG 21 Lancer, F-16 and Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. The president will also meet with Romanian and British pilots who participate in the NATO Air Policing mission.
On Saturday, President Iohannis will participate in the “Saber Guardian 2017” military multinational exercise with field troops and combat shootings at Cincu shooting range. Over 25,000 servicemen and over 2,000 technical means are deployed in this exercise.
