Romania among least prepared countries to develop, retain and attract talent

Romania occupies the 61st position in a list ranking countries across the world according to their ability to develop, retain and attract talent. The ranking, made by IMD World Competitiveness Center in 2017, is topped by European countries.

The first positions are occupied by Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, Austria and Finland. The bottom spots are occupied by Ukraine (59), Croatia (60), Romania (61), Mongolia (62) and Venezuela (63).

Other SEE countries are ranked as follows: Estonia was ranked 29th, Lithuania was ranked 33rd and Poland came 34th. Neighbours Hungary and Bulgaria ranked 54th and 58th, respectively.
