The Romanian unemployment rate has registered a drop of 0.2 percent in June, with the number of unemployed between 15-74 years estimated at 568,000, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
According to the statistics, the unemployment rate for males exceeded by 2 percent the one for females, respectively 7.3 percent for males and 5.3 percent for females.
The number of jobless people in June registered a decrease compared with the previous month, when there were 581,000 and compared with June 2015, when there were 617,000 unemployed.
Moreover, for adults between 25-74 years, the unemployment rate was estimated at 5.4 percent in June, out of which 6.2 percent for males and 4.2 percent for females.
The number of adults between 25-74 years represented 78.3 percent out of the total unemployed in June.
