The collected revenues to the budget in April were worth RON 18.03 billion, up by RON 1.18 billion more than in April 2016, according to the tax collection agency ANAF. According to its representatives, in the first four months of this year, ANAF collected RON 68.45 billion worth of taxes, by RON 1.81 billion more than the revenues from the similar period of 2016.
Starting from March, PM Sorin Grindeanu, meets regularly with Public Finance minister Viorel Stefan and the president of the National Agency of Fiscal Administration (ANAF), Bogdan Nicolae Stan to discuss about the taxes’ collection, after in the first two months ANAF collected less money than in the same period of 2016.
The ANAF president says that the overall revenues from the budget collected by ANAF amounted to RON 32 billion in January and February, representing a decrease by 0.9 percent, nominal index, compared with the same period of 2016.
Grindeanu had asked the ANAF to increase the collection level of revenues from budgets administered by ANAF and to intensify the improvement measures of voluntary conformation.
He said on March that the low level of revenues from the beginning of the year won’t affect the measures from the Government program.
