Romanian PM Mihai Tudose will present priorities of his gov’t in Brussels

Romanian prime minister Mihai Tudose will meet in Brussels with the president of the European Council, Donald Tusk, as well as with Jean-Claude Junker, president of the European Commission and with first vice president of the European Commission, Frans Timmermans.

On his first visit since he took office, PM Tudose will reinforce the message that Romania is a trustworthy partner within the EU that will fulfill all commitments it took. The PM will also present the priorities of the Tudose government, update the EC officials on the progress achieved with preparations for Romania’s 2019 presidency of the European Council as well as with the absorption rate of EU funds.

The agenda of the visit also includes a meeting with Romanian EC Commissioner Corina Cretu, who holds the Regional Policy portfolio.

The visit will end on Tuesday evening with a meeting between the Romanian PM and president of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani.

The Romanian delegation also includes Minister delegate for European Affairs Victor Negrescu.
