The Romanian state replaced all its representatives on the Telekom Romania board, official sources told Profit.ro. The nominees for the new board are Ciprian Bolos, Dragos Vlad, Alin Marius and Raluca Purecel.

The new board members were sent via the Ministry of Communications. They are replacing the representatives appointed by the Ciolos Government, namely Anca Georgescu, Bogdan Voicu and Florin Furdui.

The Romanian state has a participation of 45.99 percent in Telekom Romania, the brand under which former telecom operators Romtelecom and Cosmote are operating since September 2014. Telekom Romania provides telecom services to approximately 10 million users.

The Telekom brand belongs to Deutsche Telekom, one of the world’s top companies in the telecom sector, with over 156 million clients for mobile services, 29 million land lines and over 18 million broadband lines (on 31 December 2015). Deutsche Telekom has established a presence in over 50 countries and had over 225,000 employees at a global level.
