Romanian-Swiss programme for SMEs increases funding ceiling to RON 550,000

The Romanian-Swiss programme for SMEs increases the funding ceiling to up to RON 500,000 by means of an additional act to the Convention of collaboration. The document was signed by the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and the Relation with the Business Environment and CEC Bank on Wednesday.

In addition, the document includes the IT&C sectors and transports.

“MECRMA is handling today a diversified range of instruments dedicated to the SMEs sector. During meetings with the business environment we debated the issue of levers the Government can use to cover the need of funding of the Romanian entrepreneurial sector. Not infrequently, the viable solutions to solve this genuine problem, came from the business environment. The peroament dialogue with entrepreneurs in implementing these schemes led to very good results, both for the beneficiaries of these programs, and for the national economy in its entirety,” Claudiu Vranceanu, State Secretary with the MECRMA said.

The Romanian-Swiss Program awarded over 200 investment credits, with a 5 year maturity, mainly to companies active in production, tourism and medical services.

The Convention was closed on 16.01.2014.
