Romanians’ real estate transactions by 4.5 pct higher in February close to 51,000

The number of real estate transactions were by 4.5 percent higher in February compared with the same month of 2017, reaching close to 51,000, according to the data of the National Agency of Land Register and Real Estate Advertising.

In February 2017, the number of transactions reached 48,567.

„The highest real estate sales were registered in February 2018, in Bucharest- 7,310, Cluj – 3,459 and Timis – 3,169. The counties with the less sold properties in the same period are Sălaj – 384, Gorj – 380 and Covasna – 332”, says the release.

The number of mortgages at national level in February 2018 reached 23,138, by 4,340 higher than February 2017.

Most of the operations were registered in January in Bucharest- 5,697, Ilfov – 3,639 and Cluj – 1,682. On the opposite side are Salaj – 65, Covasna – 64 and Gorj – 56.

The number of real estate transactions in 2017 in Romania was 627,802, out of which 19.8 percent in Bucharest and Ilfov.
