The ministry of finance, Eugen Teodorovici, says that Romania will not be affected by an economic crisis similar to the one that erupted in 2009.

Teodorovici says that “surely” Romania will not record a crisis that will have a big impact on the economy.

“Those that are in this economic area can say: ‘Sir, you can’t tell for use. I say that there won’t be. Secondly, the state will cover the pension, so the income for the population. I repeat, it can’t be,” said the minister.

He added that the current government or PSD will not reach the decision to cut the incomes of Romanians, similar to what happened in 2010, following the start of the financial crisis.

“I can’t possibility do it, I’d rather cut my own hand. How can you leave a person without an income?”, said Teodorovici.
