Attractive mix of relaxation options, chic restaurant, themed cafés and entertainment options for various categories of the public, both indoors and outdoors. This is the new concept of leisure that the IULIUS Company will implement in Timişoara via the Openville mixed-use project located in the vicinity of Iulius Mall.

What’s new about Openville from this point of view? Firstly, the park spanning on 55,000 sqm will be an attraction both for the thousands of employees in the office buildings within the project and for the visitors and shoppers of Iulius Mall. In addition to this, the locals of Banat will be able to enjoy new cafés and restaurants flaunting special themes and cuisines, with outdoor terraces overlooking the green spaces and adding a different meaning to the concept of urban life in the city center.01

One of the first confirmations in this direction is the atFabrika restaurant, opened at the beginning of this year and implementing the Fresh Market concept for the first time in Romania. There’s no way you can miss it if you visit Iulius Mall Timişoara. Located in the main entry area, atFabrika stands out first and foremost through its architecture that is reminiscent of a glass house and abundant in natural light. The venue is designed as a small “factory”, fitted with state of the art technology and operating on an around-the-clock basis, and the clients can observe every step of food preparation, from the selection of the ingredients all the way to the serving of the dishes.

02 “Here we invent, create and manufacture; we “Fabrikate” like a genuine factory. The entire process is carried out in-house. We want to put an end to the idea of boxed pasta. We want our clients to watch the pasta being made by the pasta machine and we want the bread they eat to be made in-house. Food is intertwined with emotions. It has to be cooked and served the right way,” said Ciprian Tătaru and Tudor Marcu, the chefs of the restaurant.

atFabrika proposes total transparency and guarantees the freshness of the foods that are chosen directly from a Fresh Market. The selection area is divided into several other sections including fruits and vegetables, butcher, bakery and pastry shop. The concept allows clients to choose the type of meat and how they want it to be cooked, including various delicatessens such as Uruguayan sirloin steak, prosciutto di Parma or bresaola. The clients can also choose from a variety of baked goods made using our own proprietary recipes. For people who are always on the go, atFabrika offers a broad range of ready-made meals available in heated display cases or various “food to go” options.

Special promotional offers for the office building employees within the project

atFabrika is a unique venue in the local dining landscape. Depending on the time of the day, the restaurant changes from a breakfast lounge into a nice place for having lunch or dinner or where people can get together and enjoy a pint of beer, just like in a pub. This type of concept venues will offer the clients of Openville the multicultural06 experience of restaurants and cafés with widely varied cuisines and themes, similar to that offered by the major boulevards in the great metropolises of the world. This is also one of the multiple benefits provided to the people working in the Openville office buildings; the Partner Card program implemented especially for them entitles the holders to a 10% discount in atFabrika.

atFabrika is also thinking about the people who want to have lunch here, therefore on weekdays the venue offers delicious meals according to the special daily menus dubbed “Crafted Lunch”.

10The IULIUS Company is investing over € 220 million in the development of the Openville mixed-use project. The development will include 130,000 sqm of office spaces, 60,000 sqm additional retail premises, over 430 stores, restaurants and cafés, multiplex cinema, a fresh market area, a 55,000 sqm park, the largest playground, and 4,050 parking spaces.
