Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii sets up fiscal consultancy division

Romanian law firm Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii has set up fiscal consultancy division Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii Tax. It will operate as an entity affiliated to the law firm.

The firm says the move comes as a result of increasing demand for specialized consultancy in the area from existing clients and from the need to capitalize on the existing expertise. “This step follows the one-stop-shop services policy we promoted in other areas such as insolvency, intellectual property, structural funds etc,” said associated lawyer Razvan Gheorghiu-Testa.

The new practice is coordinated by tax partner Alexandru Cristea and Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii associated lawyer Razvan Gheorghiu-Testa. The team also includes Alin Chitu as tax senior manager. The core team of the newly set up division is made up of experts with experience in the Big 4 environment and of lawyers with experience in fiscal legislation. Gheorghiu-Testa added that a EUR 500,000 – EUR 600,000 is expected for the first operational year.
