UberPITCH: Romania, in top 10 countries with the greatest business ideas

In the last day of UberPITCH challenge, Romania is on the 7th place in top European participant countries with over 120 registerd ideas, the same as The Netherlands and Denmark. The UK came first  with over 500 ideas, France- over 350, Italy and Sweden- 210, Spain with over 190, Portugal- over 145. 

Entrepreneurs could still submit their ideas today.

UberPITCH held its activity in 37 cities from 21 countries from Europe. In Romania the project is organized in partnership with Impact Hub Bucharest and TechHub Bucharest.

The challenge offers the entrepreneurs from Europe the opportunity to get advice for their business ideas from local known entrepreneurs by clicking a button.

The selected finalists from all countries will go to Berlin, on June 8 and 9, where they will present the idea to Travis Kalanick, CEO and founder of Uber, a technology company that connects in real time the passengers, and to other investors.

The ones who will evaluate the registered ideas in  UberPITCH in Romania are Oana Craioveanu, director and co-founder Impact Hub Bucharest, Bogdan Iordache, co-founder How to Web and TechHub Bucharest, Andrei Pitis, founder and CTO Vector Watch,  Andrei Ostacie, investor, owner and marketing manager OkapiStudio and Sergiu Negut, business angel and associate dean of Entrepreneurial Growth at Maastricht School of Management România.

Only the users whose ideas will be selected will receive the promotional code which unlocks the UberPITCH option.

Uber offers a transport alternative in almost 400 cities from over 65 countries.

Impact Hub Bucharest is the organisation that supports entrepreneurial initiatives with positive impact in society within a global community.

TechHub Bucharest is the first co-working space from Romania addressed to technology professionals who want to work in a creative and dynamic environment.
