In the middle of June and amidst the hot weather, there are a lot of concerts and festivals prepared that should not be missed.
This Friday night, the Night of Cultural Institutes takes place. A total of 15 cultural institutes in Bucharest will take part in the tenth Night of Cultural Institutes, including the British Council, the Czech Center, the Goethe Institute, the Hungarian Institute in Bucharest, Cervantes Institute, the Romanian Cultural Institute, the French Institute, the Italian Culture Institute and the Polish Institute. The program includes more than 50 events, such as Shakespeare plays, concerts, a Portuguese party, a silent disco,a graffiti performance, exhibitions, movie screenings, foreign language classes, culinary surprises, workshops and games. The event will take place between midnight and 2:30 am.
The Festival Marathon of Korean Culture takes place this Friday and Saturday. On Friday a traditional Korean dance will be presented and Saturday starting with 11 am it will be the opening ceremony of calligraphy and Hanji exhibition, followed by a Hanji workshop and a Samulnori show.
This Friday the International IA Day is celebrated, a day dedicated to the traditional Romanian blouse that coincides with the local Sanziene holiday. With this occasion the IAFest witll take place on Saturday and Sunday night at the Bucharest Botanical Garden, where all the people are invited to wear the hand-sewn traditional Romanian blouse. There will be craftsmen and handicraftsmen artists, concerts and exhibitions of old traditional Romanian blouses.
There will also be the T-shirt Fest this weekend. Starting with June 25 at 12:00 pm and until June 26 10 pm at Casa Universitarilor will be the only festival dedicated to shirts, bringing together all those who share the passion for T-shirts. Within this event there will be many surprises and activities.
