Romania will have until the end the end of 2017 some 90 km of fresh highways, in addition to 45 km of bypass roads, while for 250 km of roads there will be upgrade works, the general director of the National Company of Road Infrastructure (CNAIR), Stefan Ionita, told Agerpres.
According to the CNAIR head, a wide part of the road infrastructure projects for the next period might be supported by European funds, as the target is an absorption rate of RON 4 billion in 2017. The agency used around RON 8 billion in the former programming period 2007-2013.
