Online stores in Romania are having one of the fastest growth rates in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of the number of visits from mobile devices, with an average of 41 percent, according to a study by an eCommerce platform in the region.
According to the study, at a global level, the average number of visits from mobile terminals is 46 percent, and in comparison to other countries in the region Romania surpasses markets like Slovakia, Poland, Russia or Ukraine, where the average is 37 percent, 31 percent, 27 percent and 25 percent respectively.
Furthermore, a similar trend can be seen on fashion websites, as Romanian online shoppers have a growing preference to make purchases from mobile terminals.
Data from the online fashion store Answear.ro shows that, in 2017, over 60 percent of visits recorded each month were from mobile devices, while the number of orders made directly from these terminals grew by 30 percent.
