Bucharest: 28 restaurants have serious irregularities

The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) has made a major inspection on May 25 to find out if the current legislation is implemented accordingly in several restaurants from Bucharest. Two days later, in an official press release, they nominated 28 locations with serious irregularities.

The complete list consist of the following restaurants: Cofetarie Frantuzeasca, Restaurant Beirut, Restaurant Zaitone, Restaurant Divan, Restaurant Picolo Mondo, Restaurant Vaca MUUU, Restaurant Yoshi, Restaurant Arabesc Sis Kebab, mezze.ro- takeaway restaurant, Restaurant Dines, Four Season, La Oriental, Tarboush restaurant, Sultan, Restaurant Marele Zid, Restaurant Templul Soarelui, Memos, Karamna, El Bacha, L’Incontro, Adress Fodd, Tripoli, Restaurant No Name, Restaurant Coin Vert, Zen Sushi, Restaurant CHONG Quing, Restaurant Indian, Bozan Usta – Fast Food, Dristor Doner Fast Food, Restaurant Chineese Garden. 28 sanctions have been applied, with a total value of RON 147,000. Three restaurants from the list are temporarily closed.

Among the main violations found are expired food, lack of documentation for the food source, lack of hygiene in the refrigerators, lack of information regarding re-used oil, problems with waste containers, lack of information on allergenic ingredients, inappropriate egg storage, lack of translation into Romanian language of the menu, and others.

185.5 kg of meat and meat products worth RON 8,306 and 63 pieces of wafers worth RON 122 were confiscated from selling.
