French retailer Carrefour opens this Thursday its 56th supermarket on the local market in Brasov. The new unit has a 480 sqm sales surface, employs 50 people and is the second operated by Carrefour in the city.
The store sells some 5,500 products out of which about 1,000 are Carrefour private labels.
CarrefourRomaniahas a national network of 25 hypermarkets, 56 supermarkets and 8 franchise proximity stores which are run in partnership with Angst.
In Romania Carrefour’s sales totaled EUR 227 million in the first quarter of this year, up 3.6 percent (at current exchange rates) and 6.6 percent (at constant exchange rates) against the same period of last year, according to a company report.
