IAR Brasov, Airbus Helicopters talk cooperation agreement for production of H215M in Ghimbav

IAR Brasov, Airbus Helicopters had preliminary talks for the closing of a cooperation agreement for production of H215M in Ghimbav in the presence of the Minister of Economy Mihai Tudose, French Ambassador to Bucharest E.S. Francois Saint-Paul and Achim Troester, Charge d’Affaires of Embassy of Germany in Romania.

Airbus Helicopters was represented by Olivier Michalon, Senior Vice President – Head of Europe Region at Airbus Helicopters – ‎Airbus Helicopters and IAR Ghimbav by General Director Neculai Banea.

Company representatives believe that this new potential joint project, of a major strategic and commercial importance, furthers the very good cooperation, spanning almost 50 years, between Airbus Helicopters and IAR S.A.

During today’s talks, both the ministry of economy, as well as the French ambassador and the representatives of the German Embassy expressed their availability to develop concrete cooperation in the economic field, continuing the good traditional relations between the two countries.

The meeting was a good occasion to reconfirm the special character of the bilateral relation between Romania and France by reconfirming the Strategic Partnership between Romania and France, the Romanian Ministry of Economy said in a press release.

The Romanian state, via the Ministry of Economy, supports operators in the defense industry to implement development and modernization projects and programs for production facilities.
